Latisse, made by Allergan Medical the makers of Botox. Latisse is the first treatment approved by the FDA for hypotrichosis (inadequate eyelashes). It is used to lengthen, darken and thicken eyelashes. Latisse treatments are generally believed to work by increasing the percentage of eyelash hairs that are in growth phase.

Who is a Good Candidate For Latisse?

If you are on heart medications, have certain allergic conditions or you are taking antibiotics you may not be a good candidate. You are not a candidate for latisse if you have macular swelling and degeneration of the eye, inflammation of the iris – the colored part of the eyeball, inflammation of the uvea of the eye, absent eye lens, macular edema or presence of artificial eye lens.
